International Director & Co-Founder
Born in Canada and currently based in South Korea, Laura Alison Welch serves as the Co-Founder and International Director of Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation. A longtime friend and trusted partner of Founder Faisal Yaqoob, Laura has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s vision, values, and international growth.
Since the earliest days of Samaritan’s Fellowship, Laura has worked alongside Faisal through both challenges and successes, helping transform a shared vision of compassion and justice into a growing movement for positive change. Her leadership, commitment, and unwavering belief in human dignity have been instrumental in the organization’s development.
Laura is a passionate advocate for women’s rights and speaks out against domestic violence, forced conversions, sexual violence, discrimination, and all forms of abuse against women and girls. Throughout the years, she has supported vulnerable women and young girls facing hardship, helping them find hope, protection, and opportunities for a better future.
She envisions a world that is free, compassionate, and inclusive—a world where people can live with dignity, equality, and opportunity regardless of their background, faith, or circumstances. Her dedication to justice, human rights, and community empowerment continues to inspire the mission and work of Samaritan’s Fellowship Foundation around the world.
