From Development to Rights-based Community Transformation
Years of direct community work showed SFFP that services alone could not overcome exclusion, exploitation, weak access to justice, or barriers to public participation. SFFP therefore strengthened its rights-based approach through human-rights learning, civic education, community leadership, and technical engagement with experienced civil-society actors.
Mr. Samson Salamat, Chairperson of CHRE Pakistan, supported this transition as a mentor and serves as Chair of SFFP’s Advisory Board. Mr. Peter Charles Sahotra, a civil-society and minority-rights leader, serves as Vice Chair. This guidance has strengthened SFFP’s own institutional capacity. SFFP remains independently responsible for organizational strategy, project implementation, financial management, safeguarding, monitoring, and donor accountability.
